Advanced Welding & Steel is Hiring an Industrial Painter Near Grangeville, ID

Position Overview: Responsible for performing various operations to prepare and paint specified fabricated material.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

· Familiar with SSPC requirements and standards. Ensure standards are meant when preparing and painting in relation to structural steel.

· Understand and decipher drawings and blueprints.

· Identify when items are ready for paint and when they are completed.

· Properly use respirators in accordance with the Advanced Welding & Steel Respiratory Protection Program.

· Mix, prime, load, and clean paint equipment.

· Read and understand MDS for all materials being used in the Paint Shop.

· Track and maintain consumables required to operate painting equipment, including paint and thinners.

· Operate high pressure airless spray equipment.

· Will be required to use grinders, sanders, measuring instruments, forklifts and any other equipment needed to perform the job.

· Ensure all materials are properly marked as outlined in company procedures as they are completed and prepared for shipping.

· Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area. Maintain an inventory of required tools.

· Assist in overall production including loading & unloading material, pulling needed material and any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

· Education: High School/GED; Trade school or college a plus.

· Experience: 2 years painting background preferred, but will train.

· Ability to stand/walk and perform physical labor for most of the working shift. Pull, push, squat, stoop, etc. to accomplish tasks. Lift loads of up to 75-100lbs.

· Must be able to work as part of a team and be able and willing to be cross-trained in other areas.

· Ability to multi-task and be detail oriented.

· Valid Driver’s License with reliable transportation.

· Must be able to work 5 days most weeks, as well as large amounts of over time until needs are met.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
